Since I've traveled extensively in Greece over the past few years to carry out various projects, I've had the opportunity to truly experience the unique beauty of the area around Pylos. I first visited this area around Kalamata at the end of 2012 to inspect a property.
In 2010, the region near Pylos was awakened from a deep sleep with the construction of two luxury hotels and two golf courses, yet the area still appears very pristine and untouched, with dreamily empty sandy beaches and authentic Greek villages. Two more 18-hole golf courses are scheduled to open in early 2022.
Since 2013, there have been direct flights from Vienna, Munich, London, Frankfurt, Zurich and Stockholm to Kalamata, among others. The flight time from Vienna to Kalamata is just under 2 hours and the flights are available from February to November.
My friend and partner Alexander Krinner, a native of Tyrol, studied architecture and civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich. He has lived in Greece for years and has built numerous houses for Austrian and German clients, primarily in the northern part of the Peloponnese – from Patras to Corinth – and has thus gained extensive experience in dealing with the Greek mentality and authorities. Together, we explored the region around Pylos in more detail and, after many discussions, became convinced that this is a true destination of the future.

The two newest golf courses between Gialova and Pylos are enhancing the entire region even further, and this naturally means a solid increase in property value; prices have been rising for several years.
